His artistic practice is deeply rooted in painting, observation, portraiture, and mixed-media exploration. Beginning his artistic journey at the age of 13, Simmer gradually developed a sustained studio practice across acrylic, watercolor, oil, charcoal, graphite, and pencil. Brimming with natural creativity and passion for art, Simmer’s stint with art got wings during the COVID pandemic, when he used his free time to create artworks. He shares, “I have always had an inclination towards art. I used to paint and tried to bring my thoughts and observations on canvas. Initially, it began as a hobby, but during COVID, I dedicated my time to brush up on my skills. It’s something that began as an obsession, soon turned into passion, and finally became my strength.
