Jaipur: A govt school teacher serving as acting principal of a school in Khairthal-Tijara district has been placed under awaiting posting order (APO) status after several girl students of Classes 5 and 6 accused him of inappropriate touch, prompting an FIR Saturday on a complaint by their parents. The teacher, Gajraj Singh Yadav, was posted at Govt Middle School in Meoli village of Kotkasim tehsil.“An FIR was registered against the teacher following a complaint by the parents, who alleged that he had inappropriately touched some minor girls eight to 10 days ago,” said Kotkasim SHO Jaswant Yadav.Kotkasim chief block education officer Om Prakash Verma said the matter first surfaced on Oct 17, when one girl complained to a female teacher.“When the teacher spoke to other students, they too reported a similar pattern of behaviour. We visited the school Friday after being informed of the matter and found concerned local villagers gathered there,” Verma told TOI.“We tried contacting the teacher in question, but he did not answer our calls,” he added.Khairthal-Tijara district education officer Ramesh Kumar Megh said a departmental inquiry has been initiated against Yadav.
