Jaipur: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Tuesday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s 11 years in office as a remarkable journey of “service, good governance, and inclusive welfare,” asserting that the period was a transformative era for the nation. Addressing a press conference at BJP’s state headquarters here, Sharma said, “The past eleven years under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi were years of transformation, progress, and national pride.”He reflected on the situation prior to 2014 and said, “Before 2014, India was battling numerous internal and external challenges. But Prime Minister Modi, with his strong resolve, indomitable will, and people-first approach, changed the fate and face of the nation.”Sharma underscored the tangible benefits Rajasthan received under Modi’s leadership. “I am pleased to share with the people of Rajasthan that since Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014, the state received Rs 2.11 lakh crore under centrally sponsored schemes,” he said. He further highlighted that “under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana, 4.5 crore people in the state are receiving free food grains.” Later in the day, in a seperate high-level meeting at the chief minister’s residence Tuesday, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma reaffirmed the state govt’s commitment to transform Rajasthan into a developed state by 2047. This aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s national vision of “Viksit Bharat @2047”. The Union govt has approved Rs 1,243.19 crore for construction of an elevated road in Jodhpur, CM said.
