Jaipur: The state education department will start e-Pathshala for students of Classes 9-12 as additional help beyond classroom teaching. Under this initiative, live online classes will be conducted with access to digital notes and study materials. Schools have been instructed to encourage parents to join the WhatsApp group for this initiative so that all eligible students can access additional study material. After live classes, students will be able to access the study material through social media platforms.To make the information accessible to students, officials said that the link for daily live classes, class notes (PDF) and summary sheets will be shared every morning via ‘e-Pathshala’ WhatsApp channel and schools’ ‘SMILE’ WhatsApp groups.“Chapter-wise digital notes for every subject will be available on Mission Gyan app and WhatsApp channel, enabling students to engage in regular self-study from home. Interactive live doubt-solving sessions will also be organised periodically, and during these sessions, students can ask subject-related questions via the comment box, and teachers will provide clarifications,” said a senior official from the education department.Govt schools’ staff have also been instructed to encourage students in the morning assembly to participate in the evening live classes and study using the digital notes.“If a subject teacher is on leave or a post is vacant, teaching will continue through the use of recorded classes in the school’s ICT lab or Smart Class. All schools have been instructed to comply with these directions so that both quantitative and qualitative improvements can be made in examination results of govt school students,” added the senior official.
