Jhunjhunu: A eight-year-old boy died after a vehicle allegedly hit children in Katrathal village of Sikar Friday, police said.Dadiya station house officer Sanjay Poonia identified the boy as Faiz, son of Dilshad and a Katrathal resident. His family alleged in its complaint that the driver negligently drove the vehicle into the children, killing Faiz.The vehicle was reportedly being used to bring voters in support of a BJP candidate.Dadiya police reached the spot after being informed and took Faiz to Govt SK Hospital in Sikar, where doctors declared him dead.Police registered a report on the family’s complaint and began an investigation. The body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination.Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra expressed grief on social media and demanded the driver’s immediate arrest and registration of a case. He also sought justice and appropriate compensation for the boy’s family.
