Jaipur: Vidyasthali Public School cagers continued their winning streak, winning all three categories in the CBSE Cluster 14 Inter-School Basketball tournament at the SMS Stadium basketball courts here on Saturday.Hosts Vidyasthali defeated Cambridge Court 16-2 in the Under-19 category to move up. The local team also registered wins over Shri G Nathdwara 29-2 in the Under-17 section and JPGS 18-7 in the Under-14 group, respectively.According to the host school’s secretary Yogendra Singh, in other matches of the Under-19 category, St Xavier Nevta trounced Vidyaashram 17-5, TPS Vaishali Jaipur downed Ahead Public School 14-12, St Paul’s Jodhpur beat St Edmund’s Ajmer 28-11, Sangam Bhilwara thumped MSBSS 39-32, Aurobindo accounted for MSMSV 22-12, Prince Sainik School Sikar dismissed Emmanuel Jaipur 40-27, while BR Public School Jodhpur got the better of Seedling Jawahar Nagar 21-4.In Under-17, MPS Kalwad outclassed St Edmunds Jawahar Nagar, St Xavier prevailed over IIS, Subodh School outlasted MPS International, Neerja Modi thrashed Daffodil Sikar, Kadalvik crushed Shri Chaitanya Techno, Neemawat Public School outwitted Orchid Central School Jaipur, APS Alwar made the light work of School Jaipur, while MPS Jawahar Nagar prevailed over MSBSS.Similarly, in the major matches in the Under-14 age group, Daffodils defeated Gudha Public School Neemkathana, Gudha International beat Narayana, Sangam Bhilwara downed MSBSS, Prince Sainik School Sikar defeated Emmanuel School Jaipur, St Xavier defeated MSBSS, while Prince Academy Sikar got the better of Motaram Neel Ganganagar.According to the Principal of the host school, Dr Sandhya Singh, the quarter-final matches of Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 categories will be played on Sunday.
