Jaipur: The week-long RD Baheti Memorial Jaipur District Open Badminton Championship 2026 will get underway at the SMS Stadium Indoor Badminton Hall here on Tuesday.Former president of Maheshwari Samaj, Pradeep Baheti will be the chief guest and will inaugurate the tournament at 10.30 am. Retired chief justice NK Jain and trustees of RD Baheti Trust, Ashok Baheti and Sanjay Baheti will be the special guests.The Jaipur District Badminton Association president Anil Mehta and secretary Manoj Dasot will also be present on the occasion, said organising secretary Atul Gupta. Soon after the inauguration, the first round matches will begin.KK Mathur will be the chief referee for the tournament, while Jagdish Khatri and Vikas Mathur will serve as deputy referees. Dharamraj Sharma, appointed by the Rajasthan Badminton Association, will be the match controller.All winners and runners-up will receive mementos and certificates. Senior players over the age of 70 will be exempted from entry fees.
