Jhunjhunu: A man arrested for allegedly recording videos of women inside the trial room of a showroom in Chirawa town in Jhunjhunu district, was sent to judicial custody Thursday after the completion of his police remand.The accused was identified as Shahrukh Shaikh and is the son of the showroom named Jamjam Collection.Chirawa court prosecution officer Rakesh Sharma said the accused was produced before the court amid tight security arrangements. After the hearing, the court remanded him to judicial custody until June 23, 2026.The case came to light on June 6 when allegations surfaced that women were being secretly recorded inside the trial room of the showroom in Chirawa. The incident triggered widespread outrage in the town. Acting on the victim’s complaint, police arrested Shahrukh.Meanwhile, a video statement by the accused’s father, Sher Mohammad Shaikh, drew attention. In the video, he publicly condemned his son’s alleged actions. He further said the law should take its course and, if his son is found guilty, he should receive the strictest punishment.
