Bhilwara: A 51-year-old man died by suicide in Bhilwara Wednesday, with his family alleging that he had been under pressure from moneylenders, police said.Police said the deceased, Surya Prakash Dadhich, was working as a lower division clerk at a nursing college in Jodhpur and lived in the Subhash Nagar area. He was found unconscious at R K Garden and taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.According to police, Dadhich had sent a video message to his brother-in-law shortly before the incident. In the clip, he appealed that his family should not be harassed and claimed that those who had lent him money had already recovered several times the amount as interest. He also asked his relatives to take care of his family.Subhash Nagar SHO Kailash Kumar Bishnoi said a case has been registered based on the family’s complaint and an investigation is underway. He said the video points to possible harassment by moneylenders. “We are examining all aspects and have formed teams to look into the matter,” the officer said.Police said the postmortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family. Officials added that if allegations of the illegal moneylending and harassment are established, strict action will be taken against those involved.
