Jaipur: The Indo‑American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) formally entered Rajasthan with a dedicated chapter aimed at connecting local businesses with the United States in sectors such as gems and jewellery, handicrafts, textiles, and readymade garments.Deputy chief minister Diya Kumari described the launch as a long‑awaited step in taking Indo‑US economic engagement to the state level. Kumari said the initiative will act as a pathway to innovation, job creation, and sustainable growth.Jonathan Heimer, minister counselor for commercial affairs at the US Embassy, underscored the importance of the strategic expansion, saying that investments and connections forged today would deliver lasting benefits for future generations.Vaibhav Gupta, who would be heading the chapter, said they would enable deeper business linkages, policy dialogues, and cross‑border collaborations aligned with the ‘Make in India’ vision.
