Jaipur: Rajasthan drug control authorities have identified three more medicine samples as “not of standard quality,” deepening concern over medicine safety after the recent Qcepod 200 case. The failed samples include Amoxycillin, Potassium Clavulanate and Lactic Acid Bacillus tablets, an antibiotic combination; Ondansetron Orally Disintegrating Tablets IP 8 mg sold as Vomitap-MD8, used to prevent vomiting; and Diclotal + MR, containing Diclofenac Sodium, Paracetamol and Chlorzoxazone, prescribed for pain and muscle spasm.The drugs were manufactured by Bionial Healthcare Pvt. Ltd, Mohali, Punjab; Athens Life Sciences, Sirmour, Himachal Pradesh; and Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Haridwar. An official said the dept has ordered withdrawal of stock and initiated action under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
