Alwar: A seven-year-old boy was grievously injured after an attack by a stray dog in Jatiyaana village near Alwar city Sunday. Family members said the minor sustained severe bite wounds on the face, neck and hand, and narrowly escaped permanent damage to the eyes. He was later admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in serious condition.The boy’s grandfather said he was playing outside in a field at the time of the incident. A passerby who tried to save the boy from the ferocious attack ended up getting bitten himself and had to flee. Neighbours eventually managed to free the boy from the jaws of the dog before beating it to death with sticks to prevent further attacks, local villagers said.Family members said the boy received extensive stitches on his wounds and is currently undergoing further treatment.
