Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police Tuesday arrested two absconding accused in separate cases linked to the Senior Teacher recruitment exam paper leak, officials said.Additional DGP (SOG) Vishal Bansal identified the accused as Ashok Kumar Vishnoi (29), a resident of Dhorimanna in Barmer, and Vijay Pal Singh (30), a resident of Sanchore in Jalore, who allegedly acted as a dummy candidate in the examination.Bansal said both accused were absconding for nearly two years, frequently changing locations and concealing their identities to evade arrest.The case pertains to the 2022 Senior Teacher (Secondary Education) Grade-II examination conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). The General Knowledge & Educational Psychology and Science papers held on Dec 24, 2022, were cancelled after a paper leak, and the examination was reconducted on Jan 29, 2023.Investigations revealed that Ashok Kumar Vishnoi allegedly arranged dummy candidates to appear in both papers on his behalf. Police said Hanumanaram Vishnoi, a senior teacher posted in a govt school in Jalore, appeared in the General Knowledge & Educational Psychology paper for him.By allegedly using dummy candidates, Vishnoi secured selection as a Senior Teacher (Science), officials said. Hanumanaram Vishnoi was earlier arrested on Feb 17, 2026.Police said Vishnoi was absconding since the case surfaced, following which a reward of ₹5,000 was announced for information leading to his arrest.In a related case, officials said another accused, Surat Ram Meena from Sawai Madhopur, also used a dummy candidate. Mahipal Vishnoi, a fourth-year MBBS student at Government Medical College, Kota, appeared in the Science paper on his behalf and was arrested earlier.Meanwhile, Vijay Pal Singh allegedly appeared as a dummy candidate in the General Knowledge & Educational Psychology paper. A reward of ₹10,000 was announced for his arrest before he was apprehended.Further investigation in both cases is underway, police said.
