Jaipur: Cloud cover brought a slight dip in temperatures in parts of Rajasthan Thursday, but heat remained above normal across many areas, with Kota the hottest at 39.8°C. The Meteorological Centre Jaipur said active western disturbances over northwest India are likely to bring light rain to several places in the state and dust storms with gusty winds in parts of western Rajasthan Saturday.The Met office said the marginal fall in temperatures in some regions due to cloudy skies should not be seen as relief from the rising heat. Current conditions are expected to continue for the next couple of days before the approaching western disturbance begins affecting the state.According to the Jaipur Met office, light showers are likely at several places across Rajasthan Saturday. Dust storms accompanied by gusty winds are also expected at some locations in western Rajasthan, which may temporarily affect visibility and local weather conditions.Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 36.4°C and a minimum of 23.4°C.
