Ajmer: On finding that their daughter had married a man from another community, the woman’s parents staged a protest outside Ganj police station Tuesday evening.A saffron wing also gathered outside, and, looking at the situation, anti-social elements looted a shop. Extra police force was called from the police lines. SHO Ganj Mahaveer Singh said that the situation was under control. According to police, a family registered a missing case on Feb 2 after their 18-year-old daughter went missing. The family hails from Madhya Pradesh and resides in the Ganj region of Ajmer.On Monday, the woman, who was in a live-in relationship with a man, appeared at Sujangarh police station in Churu district, demanding security from police.Ganj police was informed, who on Tuesday, brought the woman and the man to Ganj police station. It came to light that the woman married a man from a different community, which infuriated her parents. When Hindu wings came to know about it, they also gathered at the police station and demanded that the woman should be handed over to her parents. Extra police was deputed outside the police station to control the situation. Sources said that the woman denied going with her parents, and the parents sat on dharna in the police station.
