Ajmer: Officials from several departments Tuesday went to Kayar Vishram Sthali here to prepare the venue for hosting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Feb 28. The officials inspected the place and discussed the 5-layer security measures proposed in the area.Divisional commissioner Shakti Singh Rathore, Ajmer Range inspector general of police Rajendra Singh, district collector Lokbandhu, and SP Ajmer Vandita Rana, along with officials from different departments, visited the venue on Jaipur Road where PM Modi will address a public gathering. Lokbandhu said responsibilities had been assigned to various officials and magistrates deputed to inspect every facility on the spot. It is proposed that PM Modi will distribute appointment letters to 21,000 youths under the Rozgar Utsav programme and announce development works worth Rs 23,500 crore for the state from Ajmer.Vishram Sthali is used for the stay of devotees who come for the yearly Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti. To prepare it for a public gathering and to put security measures in place, officials visited the site, the district collector said. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and other ministers will also join PM Modi at the public programme on Feb 28. tnn
