Jaipur: As part of the Jaipur Polo Season 2026, an exciting match of the Rajmata Gayatri Devi Memorial Cup (6 goals) was played at the Rajasthan Polo Club Ground here on Wednesday in which Team Jaipur edged past Optiemus Achievers 7.5-7.Displaying an outstanding performance for the winning side, Lance Watson scored half a dozen goals. Padmanabh Singh added a goal to swell the tally. Other players representing Team Jaipur included Mirza Mohmmed Baig and Pratap Singh Kanota.From Optiemus Achievers, Shamsheer Ali fought well with a four-goal effort. Savir Mehraj Godara contributed 2 goals, while Daniel Otamendi chipped in with a goal. Aryamaan Singh was also part of the Optiemus Achievers team.Earlier, a match was played between V Polo and Suhana All Stars Polo Team at the Chandna V Polo Ground. Team V Polo emerged victorious against Suhana All Stars Polo by a score of 6.5-3. In this match Team V Polo also received an advantage of half-goal.Two matches will be played at the PPC Ground on Thursday. The first match will be held at 1.30 pm between Team Rambagh and Team Aravali, followed by the second outing at 3 pm between Team RPC/Thunderbolt and Team Jindal Bedla.It is to be noted that all four teams in Pool B have won one match each and lost one match each. Therefore, a penalty shoot-out will be held at 4 pm at the PPC Ground among all four Pool B teams. These teams include V Polo Team, Optiemus Achievers, Team Jaipur and Suhana All Stars Team. The final of the cup will be played on Sunday.
