Jaipur: The New India Assurance (NIA) Company Limited entered the semi-finals of the BOB Corporate Golf Cup at the Rambagh Golf Cup here on Tuesday.In the quarter-final, the NIA team performed well and sailed into the semis for the first time by defeating Mahima Ki Udaan Corporate team.The pair of Krishan Kumar Haritwal and Ram Singh, playing for NIA, prevailed over Rajiv Akad and Sharad Maithil in the alternate shot format and the pair of Navratna Singh Rathore and Rohit Gothwal downed Raj Kumar Arora and Colonel Dinesh 5 up in the match play format on hole no. 14.The match play format was between Captain Dr Devendra Kumar and Kamal Singh Naruka against Rehan Arora and Harpal Singh Anand which ended on hole 14 with Team New India winning 2 matches.In the semi-finals of the Elite Group, NIA will face Theek Thaak Golf, captained by Rajkumar Nain, and the other match will be against Team Kishan Rungta and NBS Karki.The New India Assurance team is as follows: Dr Devendra Kumar (Captain), Navratna Singh Rathore (Vice Captain), Krishna Kumar Haritwal, Ram Singh, Kamal Singh Naruka, Manish Kumawat (Junior), Rohit Gothwal, Rakesh Chaudhary and Pratap Singh (Mentor).
