Cheating gang in Delhi Police exam busted in Jodhpur, 3 held

Jodhpur: A gang involved in facilitating online cheating in the Delhi Police Head Constable (Ministerial) exam was busted Tuesday in Jodhpur. Delhi Police, along with the Banar police station team of Jodhpur, arrested three people, including two superintendents of the exam centre, in a joint operation.The accused were helping candidates in exchange for money. As the exam was conducted online, the gang enabled cheating through remote desktop applications.DCP (east) PD Nitya said an online exam was conducted at a centre in Khokhariya under Banar police station.“We received information about the use of unfair means in this exam. The exam was conducted by the SSC. Remote desktop applications were used to assist candidates appearing in the examination,” said Nitya.Based on the information received, teams of Delhi Police and Jodhpur Police inspected the exam centre.“We found a person named Pemaram, who claimed to be the centre superintendent and owner of the centre. His conduct and behaviour appeared suspicious. On questioning, it was found that he assisted several candidates at the centre in exchange for money. Admit cards of candidates were recovered from his possession, along with details of conversations related to the matter,” said the official. Similarly, the activities of Sanwala Ram, network administrator of the centre, and Mahendra were also found to be suspicious. A case was registered against them for using unfair means in the exam.Nitya said all the accused are currently being questioned by Jodhpur police.
