Bhilwara: Police in Chittorgarh seized 60.76 kg illegal opium poppy husk from a Hyundai Eon car at a checkpoint and arrested the driver.. The car used for smuggling was also confiscated.
Chittorgarh SP Sudhir Joshi said all station officers in the district were instructed to act against illegal drug trafficking. A team led by Bhadser SHO Dharamraj Meena set up a checkpoint on Bhadser Lasdawan Road, where they stopped a car and discovered 60.76 kg illegal opium poppy husk inside. Police seized the car and arrested 21-year-old Ankit Kumawat, resident of Pratapgarh district. tnn
