Jaipur: The Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) Friday and Saturday arrested four school lecturers, including three women, from Barmer, Nagaur, Chittorgarh, and Jodhpur districts. They were allegedly involved in obtaining access to a leaked question paper ahead of the school lecturer recruitment exam – 2022. The lecturers are accused of paying a paper leak racket to acquire the Economics paper of the exam and reading it in Jaipur and Jodhpur prior to the exam. They allegedly secured jobs with the help of the leaked papers.Additional director general of police, ATS and SOG, VK Singh, said, a case was registered at the SOG police station in connection with the leak earlier this year. The four accused allegedly received the paper before the official exam date, undermining the integrity of the recruitment process.Those arrested include Roshan Bangadwa, who is currently posted as an economics lecturer at Government Senior Secondary School, Basni, in Nagaur district. A resident of Birampura, Mundiyagarh near Renwal police station limits in Jaipur, she was taken into custody Friday. She read the leaked paper before the exam in Jaipur.Another lecturer, Vaidehi Meena, posted at Government Senior Secondary School, Jasma, in Bhupalsagar block of Chittorgarh district, was arrested the same day. A resident of Brahamabad village in Sikarai, district Dausa, she allegedly accessed the leaked paper in coordination with the racket. She also took the exam in Jaipur after reading the leaked paper in advance.Also held Friday was Omprakash, a lecturer from Government Senior Secondary School, Panchodi, in Nagaur district. He allegedly read the leaked paper before the exam in Jodhpur.The fourth accused, Padma, posted as a lecturer at Government Senior Secondary School, Sanavada, in Barmer district, was arrested Saturday. A resident of Sonadi village in Sedwa, Barmer, Padma is also alleged to have read the leaked paper ahead of the exam with the help of the leak network. Both she and Omprakash accessed the paper before the exam in Jodhpur.SOG officials said, more arrests are likely as the investigation into the leak racket continues. “They paid paper leak gangs to get access to the leaked paper and were successfully recruited. All four were produced in a court that sent them to police remand till July 14. So far, 14 people have been arrested in connection with the paper leak,” said a senior SOG official.
