Jaipur/Jhunjhunu: Three persons were killed and nine injured in two separate road accidents in Dausa and Sikar districts Monday. Police said preliminary investigation suggested that both accidents were caused by poor visibility due to fog.Three persons died in a head-on collision between two vehicles on Reengus-Khatu Shyam Ji Road in Sikar district around 2am. Two others injured are currently under treatment, police said.Reengus police station ASI Sawantaram Gurjar said the accident involved a passenger car with four youths travelling from Khatu Shyam Ji towards Reengus and a commercial passenger vehicle coming from the opposite direction. Gurjar identified the deceased as Ajay Devanda, driver of the commercial vehicle, and Gaurav and Ajay Sani, both residents of Suratpura in Dausa district, who were travelling in the car. Ajay Saini succumbed to his injuries at Jaipur’s SMS Hospital, while the other two died on the spot, he said.Another road accident occurred in the morning on the Sawai Madhopur Road in Mandawari police station area of Dausa district, where a private passenger bus rammed into a wood-laden jugaad vehicle parked on the roadside. Seven passengers in the bus were injured, three of them seriously.The bus was travelling from Sawai Madhopur to Lalsot with around 20 passengers on board. “Due to heavy fog, the bus driver failed to notice the stationary vehicle near a curve at Kalyanpura, lost control, and crashed into it,” said a police officer, adding that the injured passengers were rushed to Lalsot govt hospital.
