Jaipur: A 19-year-old engineering student died Friday evening after allegedly jumping from a multi-storey building under construction in Bagru near Jaipur, police said Sunday.Bagru SHO Rajendra Godara identified the deceased as Priyanshu Raj, who had enrolled at a private university six months ago and was staying in a hostel. The incident came to light after workers at the site noticed a critically-injured person at a lower level of the building. He was rushed to a local community health centre, where the doctors declared him dead.Police said they were treating the death as a suicide and reviewing the CCTV footage from the area. The student had appeared for an examination earlier in the day before going to the under-construction building 5km away from campus, they said. A bag and a mobile phone found at the scene helped to establish his identity.A police probe is on to find the exact sequence of events and the victim’s state of mind leading to the incident.
