Jaipur: In a crackdown on food adulteration, city police Monday seized a staggering 1,000 kg of counterfeit paneer during a raid. The operation led to the detention of five suspects and exposed a manufacturing process. DCP (west) Hanuman Prasad said the city police received input about suspicious paneer trading activity on Sirsi Road, prompting a police team to conduct a raid. They intercepted a pickup truck loaded with crates purportedly containing paneer. However, a foul odour emanating from the crates raised red flags. Upon inspection, authorities confirmed the contents were fake. Bindayaka police seized the vehicle. The detainees are- Saharun (19), Sahil (22), and Usama (19) from Ramgarh Alwar; Rajendra (51), from Mundola Kalwar; and Naresh Kumar (47), from Pindolai Bindayaka. TNN
